Motus Design Group, llc with Yvonne Bryant

There are many ways to build your business or organization. Successful organizations have multiple tools in their toolkit…One of the tools is to ask for testimonials…

Why?

People do business with individuals that they know, like and trust…Testimonials are a form of social proof that you or your business solves problems, gets results, are great to work with.

What if they don’t know you?

They then do business with individuals recommended by people that they trust…

This is where testimonials coming in.

Question for Motus Design Group & Yvonne Bryant

QUESTION:

I’m learning how better to get the nerve up to ask people if they want to be on the newsletter mailing list…
but getting testimonials – how do you do that? Hilary B.

Answer from Motus Design Group & Yvonne Bryant

ANSWER:

There are different ways you can work this one depending on what your objective is.

  1. You can have a testimonial form on your website.
  2. You can have a form for people at events… Sometimes people will do this while they are in the moment. Make sure to have your address on the form just in case. Sometimes people need time to see the results and you want to make it easy for them to find you.
  3. If you have contact information of individuals from an event, email them to ask if there was anything specific that they took away. If the response looks like a good testimonial, ask to use it.
  4. If you are recording an event, people may be willing to give a video or audio testimonial right then.
  5. Transcribe pieces of letters or postcards that people send.
  6. Pull newspaper/newsletter quotes about you.
  7. THE BEST WAY: Ask people…I ask individuals and clients for testimonials for specific events, programs and services. It makes it easier for them also. them specific items I would like in the testimonial when I’m needing something specific and there is a person who can do that.
